Handmade Stitch Minnie Mouse Ears

I made these for my niece and for myself. I ordered some faux fur because I really loved Disney's Ugly Christmas sweater ears! However, my fur was long and it didn't turn out as I had intended.

I used one layer of faux fur and cut out matching circles in felt. I tried using my sewing machine but even with the correct foot it didn't go well. I ended up sewing them by hand 3/4 of the way. I added a piece of foam and fluff and then took the glue gun to them.

I made the bows myself using a pair of plush pajama pants I bought last year from Walmart on Black Friday. I was very pregnant at the time. These were fun but getting the stitch to show up perfectly on both pairs was a challenge.

I attached all the pieces to a satin headband. My husband and daughter said they looked like Sully ears but I really do love them. They are a perfect add on to my collection.

And even more so... It feels great to be crafting again. I took off almost a year. We moved from Ohio to Florida and in that time we also had our fifth child.
